Motorcycle Battery FAQs

The most important thing to consider when choosing a motorcycle battery is how long you plan on riding before charging. Batteries that last for years will cost more than those that only hold charge for a few months.

How long does it take to charge my battery?

It depends on the type of battery you choose. Most lead acid batteries can be charged in 30 minutes or less. Lithium ion batteries can be fully charged in as little as 15 minutes.

What size battery should I get?

If you plan to ride frequently, consider buying a larger capacity battery. A 12V battery with a capacity of at least 6Ah will provide enough power to start your bike and run lights.

Where can I find replacement parts?

You can buy replacement parts online or at your local auto parts store.

Is it safe to ride with an old battery?

It depends on what type of bike you own. If you have a scooter, then you should probably just replace the whole thing. However, if you have a motorcycle, then you might be able to use an older battery as long as it has been properly maintained.

Can I use a car charger to recharge my bike battery?

No, because the voltage levels are different. You would only be able to charge a car battery with a car charger.
